The Hidden Chapter: The Story
The short psychological horror film takes a look at Joseph Logan; a convicted killer and famous author who was released from prison nearly a
decade ago. Caressa, (a young aspiring author) attempts to conduct a series of interviews with Mr. Logan, in hopes of writing a bestselling novel
of her own. The conversations lead to one of Mr. Logan’s novels; rumored to be missing an unpublished chapter.
What does the chapter contain, and how far will Caressa go to uncover the truth?

R.W. Films Director Rodney Wess is back with another short film entitled "The Hidden Chapter". “I wanted to write something that doesn't
appear to be a horror film on the surface and “The Hidden Chapter” is what came to mind, Wess explained. “Films that are thought
provoking are the films I enjoy the most. To date, this is one of the most thought provoking scripts that I have written in my opinion. I want
the viewers to explore some of the same questions and ideas that are discussed in the film”

Via Dreams was the first film from R.W. Films to earn an official selection at a national film
festival. I'm very proud of all the talent that helped make the film and contributed to it's success. I
look forward to working with more of the talent we have throughout Colorado and surrounding
areas.

The Hidden Chapter: The story behind the story.
After writing the first draft of the script Wess began researching murderers who had been released from prison. "I came across a true
story eerily similar to "The Hidden Chapter"; a story about a young Japanese man named Issei Sagawa."
In 1981 Issei Sagawa killed and ate the flesh of a woman named Renée Hartevelt. Like the character "Joseph Logan" Issei Sagawa
also wrote a book basically detailing the events of his crime.
